The Eaton® DU-X Electronic Distribution (e-Fuse) is the ideal solution for next generation 5G wireless networks, fibre-based deployments and other low power telecommunications applications requiring compact, efficient and flexible DC power supplies.

Each load and battery system connection is controlled and protected using a semiconductor device allowing for precise control of overcurrent trip, fault currents and connection. All terminations are made via the front of the unit to ensure ease of use in space constrained installations.

The DU-X distribution embeds a full featured system controller with a front access 100BaseT Ethernet port. This provides access for easy system setup and outbound network communications. Also available from the front are digital and analogue inputs, and digital outputs.

Once partnered with high efficiency rectifiers and fitted into a small 1U high system shelf, operators have available to them one of the most compact and innovative small systems on the market, providing up to 2000Watt of power.

E-Fuse-based load protection offers benefits such as: rapid late point definition of protection outputs, reduced lead-times, energy metering, and remote reset preventing costly truck rolls.

EC500 System Controller

The Eaton® EC500 System Controller is an advanced control and monitoring solution for Eaton power systems with HPR48-ES or LPR48-ES rectifiers.

The high-resolution colour LCD display is easy to read and combines with a joystick control for fast access to values and settings.

It provides a full suite of advanced communications options, including built-in Ethernet interface, Web server, and SNMP agent.

Alarm notifications may be by SNMP traps, email, SMS, or relay contact closures.

An intelligent “Smart Alarms” feature provides highly configurable control and alarms to provide automated site management and improved performance - e.g. disconnect loads during peak AC grid loading, run outdoor cabinets in low noise mode at night, manage cooling, or customise site alarms to network requirements.

The “Analog Alarms” function allows users to programme alarms and control based on combinations of analog inputs and alarms.

The EC500 provides full generator control and fuel metering capability for off-grid, hybrid generator, battery, solar and wind applications.

The EC500 is supplied preconfigured with a default configuration file, or factory customized for a particular application, ensuring fast and problem free installation.

Configurator software is available to easily configure a new controller.

On-site changes are easily made from the front panel or over a network connection.

The EC500 works with separate system DC Interface boards for powerful and user-friendly interfacing. Easy, low cost I/O expansion is possible by adding additional DC Interface boards.

Full data logging is provided.

An optional SD card can be added for additional, user-configurable logging.

LPR48-ES Energy Saver Rectifier

The Eaton® LPR48-ES Energy Saver Rectifier is designed for communications network operators who are striving to cut energy costs across the network, but want to achieve this with space-saving systems.

Building on the successful Energy Saver platform, the compact LPR48-ES offers 1.1kW output power with a power density of 26.8W/i3.

Operating with a peak efficiency of over 94%, it makes a significant contribution to site and network energy savings using affordable and reliable components.

The 1.1kW Energy Saver Rectifier is the ideal module size for powering small access applications within a telecom network such as cellular base stations, fibre broadband equipment, and IoT nodes.

This rectifier produces peak efficiency of 94.3% for typical operating loads, while also maintaining a very high minimum operating efficiency of over 93.5% for a wide load range (from 25% to 75% of the 1.1kW capacity).

The high power density, compact construction and flexible mounting options makes the Energy Saver Rectifier well suited for limited space applications.

The Energy Saver Rectifier is compatible with Eaton’s EC500 system controller. Simplicity of use, with a simple plug-and-go insertion ensures operating costs are kept to a minimum. It operates under a wide range of AC power conditions and in temperatures at up to 75°C (167°F).

HPR48-ES Energy Saver Rectifier

The Eaton® HPR48-ES Energy Saver Rectifier is designed for communications network operators who are striving to cut energy costs across the network, and/or to meet aggressive carbon footprint reduction targets.

Building on the successful 2kW APR48-ES product, the HPR48-ES offers 50% more power in a package that results in a significantly increased power density of 36.5W/i3.

Operating with well over 95% efficiency, it makes a significant contribution to site and network energy savings using affordable and reliable components.

The 3kW Energy Saver Rectifier is the ideal module size for powering access applications within a telecom network such as cellular base stations, fibre broadband equipment, and IoT nodes.

This rectifier produces peak efficiency of 95.4% for typical operating loads, while also maintaining a very high minimum operating efficiency of over 95% for a wide load range (from 30% to 70% of the 3kW capacity).

The high power density, compact construction and flexible mounting options makes the Energy Saver Rectifier well suited for limited space applications.

The Energy Saver Rectifier is compatible with Eaton’s EC500 system controller. Simplicity of use, with a simple plug-and-go insertion ensures operating costs are kept to a minimum. It operates under a wide range of AC power conditions and in temperatures at up to 75°C (167°F).
